An injury-time try by Matt King, superbly converted from the touchline by Chris Hicks, earned Warrington Wolves a thrilling victory over Hull at the KC Stadium yesterday. Four times the engage Super League strugglers led and four times Warrington bounced back.

Shaun Berrigan, the Hull hooker, scored twice to help his team edge the first half 12-6. Berrigan's fourteenth-minute opener came courtesy of some neat touchline interplay with Kirk Yeaman, his second as he burrowed his way over on the half-hour. In between, Kevin Penny intercepted an ambitious pass and raced 80 metres in reply for Warrington. The visiting team levelled the score when Lee Briers raced through on the restart. Jodie Broughton, the young centre currently on a month's loan from Leeds, then powered over for his first try for Hull after 52 minutes.

Warrington hit back with Penny's second try of the game. Yeaman's late score briefly cancelled out a penalty goal by Hicks, but King and the full back's boot had the final say.
