Yes, the rumours are true: the adorable blow-up balloon that took our world by storm has returned to administer another dose of ludicrously surreal adventure. This journey takes place in a kingdom far above the native dreamland known only as Mirrorland.

Alas, all is not well here as the mirrors start reflecting things of pure evil. Still, it’s not all bad news. Not only can you play as one groovy yet fashionable puffball, you can play as four of them, each more colourful than the last. Setting off with the bare essentials (your mobile phone and a couple of warpstars), you must restore Mirrorland to its original state and vanquish the villain, The Metaknight.

As with Marmite, you either love these loony games or you don’t. The graphics are pretty impressive for the Game Boy and it’s worth playing just to watch those crazy critters float about the clouds. It’s hard not to envy the lunatic who dreamed them up. This is a fun and imaginative game, just not one for the shoot ’em up brigade.
