With the Christmas stampede for the latest mobile well underway, Nokia is rushing seven new models into the shops for the Yule-fuelled shopping frenzy.

As with so many Nokia phones, the 6670 is the company's old 7610 model with a smart business suit and ‘professional’ brand. The arrangement of the keys has traded designer for dapper and the new silver or black shell is designed to tempt the executive on the move. The phone has tri-band reception and the battery life is a very average 140 minutes talktime or 240 hours standby.

The phone’s memory has been expanded to 64Mb, and with an enhanced night-vision camera combined and ten minutes of video capture there is no shortage of things to store.

New software has been added, improving almost every aspect of the phone. Photo editors and Pictbridge links mean that images can be manipulated and printed faster than before. For the first time the Netforce mobile web browser has been included, allowing faster and better use of the internet. Nokia has also used the 6670 to launch its new Lifeblog application, which lets you move images and messages from your phone to your computer without cables, so you can keep a complete record of the phones ‘life’ without choking up the memory. The software still has a few bugs, but when it is fixed the premise should be revolutionary.
