After successful rounds played on the PS2 and PSP, this quirky cartoon-style golf game tees off on the PS3. You can play as any one of a cast of preppy teens, would-be cowboys and French strumpets, and you have to take on various computer-controlled challengers in golfing head-to-heads to give your character new skills or to unlock helpful accessories.

The odd style of Everybody’s Golf has been known to put off serious golfers, but beneath the cute-looking surface, this series has always played an excellent game.

It’s accessible enough to hook beginners, yet it boasts enough depth to maintain a long-term challenge. Whether you are tackling a tough links course in Okinawa or the tricky dog legs of the Highlands course, fun is guaranteed. What’s more, the game now includes superb online options such as challenging real players in a virtual clubhouse, and signing up for eight-player matches or massive online tournaments. The HD graphics look great and serious attention to detail has been lavished on the courses. Hardened golf veterans may prefer the more realistic Tiger Woods series, but for sheer playability, give this game a swing.
