The latest actioner from Blitz Games is fine in short blasts for anyone looking for some mindless tension-busting target practice. However, those seeking something that challenges the grey stuff will need to look elsewhere.

This largely third-person game is based on key scenes from the Wilbur Smith and Martin Lawrence guy-flick of the same name, in which the savvy duo take on Miami’s drug barons and their armies of cohorts. What ensues is pretty standard stuff across 15 levels, most of them filled to bursting point with lengthy bouts of shooting. You also need to alternate between playing the two agents of the TNT — Tactical Narcotics Team — to complete certain agent-specific tasks. The weapons are standard issue, with pistols and sub- machine guns to get you started. Sniper rifles throw up a cross-haired first- person view, and these are arguably the most satisfying to use when taking out enemies from a safe distance.

There are some nice graphical touches, such as shattering windows and popping fish tanks, but just not nearly enough of them. Neither actor would lend his voice to the game’s two lead characters, which might have given this a more authentic feel, but since the game’s characters look nothing like them, it’s debatable how much this matters anyway.
